Pit Road - Skywave Series - Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force - DDH-141 - J80
The Haruna entered service in 1973 as the Maritime Self-Defense Force's first helicopter carrier (DDH).
Alongside its sister ship, the Hiei, and two improved Shirane-class vessels, a total of four ships were operated for a long period.
Following the commissioning of the full-length flight deck Hyuga-class ships, the Haruna was decommissioned in 2009.
The kit reproduces the final configuration as a full-hull model.
Newly added parts: Full-hull hull bottom / Various satellite communication antennas.
Choice of deck/waterline or full-hull model.
Includes one SH-60J patrol helicopter.
One ship per box.
Completed size: Length approx. 218mm.
