Product Introduction
・The Murasame-class is the third generation of gas turbine-powered multi-purpose destroyers, following the Hatsuyuki-class and Asagiri-class. Nine ships were built by 2002.
The lead ship, Murasame, was completed in March 1996. It has conducted overseas operations, including deployments to the Indian Ocean under the Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law and convoy escort duties off Somalia to counter piracy.
It is currently assigned to the 1st Escort Squadron, 1st Escort Flotilla, based in Yokosuka.
・Includes the complete parts set from the new equipment set “NE10: 1/700 Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Ship Equipment Set 1” and one photo-etched parts sheet “PE143: 1/700 Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Escort Ship for Takanami-class & Murasame-class”.
By replacing parts such as armaments and various antennas, precise reproduction is possible.
