This book is designed to crossover the cosmic horror novels of the 1920s, the ‘Cthulhu Mythos’ founded by Howard Phillips Lovecraft, with Double Cross.
The Renegades in this book are not the mysterious virus. It has been revealed to be the factor of cosmic terror, the cosmic horror represented by the Great Cthulhu—the factor of the Evil Gods.
As a result, the False Hearts—the “Heart of the False God”—became an organization dedicated to summoning the Evil Gods to this earth, and the Jam became those who fell into the madness of the Evil Gods.
And the Overd, though human, became traitors harboring the factor of the Evil Gods within their bodies, targets even from the human side.
A semblance of everyday life still clings to the world.
But it is but a bubble floating upon the ocean. Should the Evil Gods stir, all would shatter into nothingness. If anyone can sever their influence peering in from beyond the chaos, it is you alone. But beware. A fragment of the Evil Gods also dwells within you. You, too, possess the potential to become a destroyer.
