Set in the year 2115 on an Earth devastated by a massive conflict known as the “Great Invasion,”
'Code: Layered' is the first completely new TRPG since ‘Chaos Flare: Chronicles of the Otherworld’. Players become “Layered” individuals—special ability users who wield the power of heroes and great figures—fighting to reclaim the world for humanity.
The game's defining feature is that “all PCs fight by harnessing the power of great figures and heroes.”
The heroes who serve as the source of this power can be widely represented—from swordsmen and archers to saints, scientists, and artists.
Furthermore, the ways to manifest this power are diverse: wielding it as a weapon, wearing it as clothing, or even summoning the hero themselves. Players can choose a combat style that fits their vision.
Rules are also provided to depict dynamic combat against super-massive enemies tens of meters in scale.
Enemy data management has been simplified, allowing GMs to easily incorporate battles against colossal foes into their scenarios.
