Product Description
Amusing Hobby 1/35 Yugoslavian Army Main Battle Tank M-84A Plastic Model Kit.
The M-84 is Yugoslavia's independently modified main battle tank based on the Soviet T-72M.
Yugoslavia obtained the license to produce the T-72 in 1979, but the modification design took time, so mass production of the M-84 did not begin until 1984. The main armament, the 2A46 125mm smoothbore gun, and secondary armament, the M86 (=7.62mm PKT machine gun) and M87 (=12.7mm NSVT heavy machine gun), are common with the T-72. However, the M-84 features newly added smoke grenade launchers on the turret front and environmental sensors on the turret top.
The M-84A, a further improvement over the M-84, features a new fire control system, added periscopes and armor plates, and a more powerful engine for enhanced mobility.
