Arclight - Quacksalver - The Duel - 45-60 min - Ages 10+
This is a two-player adaptation of Quacksalber, winner of the 2018 German Game of the Year Award in the Expert category. Skillfully use nine different medicinal herbs to pull patients toward your tent in a tug-of-war style, sometimes employing effects that directly affect your opponent, aiming to treat more patients than your opponent. Each round involves “bag building” to create your medicine bag, then drawing herbs (chips) randomly from it to “make medicine.” However, drawing too many risky herbs risks your medicine bottle bursting. This element of a chicken race—bursting or not—decides the outcome.
The most thrilling and exciting part of this duel is deciding whether to steadily advance your patient or take risks to rush them to the finish line.
