TOMYTEC Railway Collection - JR 719 Series 0 Subseries - 266686
The 719 Series 0 Subseries is an AC commuter train introduced by JR East in 1989. \
The express-type trains previously operating in the Sendai metropolitan area had interior decks and single-leaf doors on one side of the car body, which hindered smooth boarding and alighting during rush hour. Simultaneously, the aging of these vehicles was becoming problematic.\
Therefore, the 719 Series 0 Subseries was manufactured as a replacement, featuring three double-leaf doors on one side of the car body. \
The body is constructed of stainless steel, and multiple 2-car units can be coupled to form formations of up to 8 cars, offering high flexibility.\
Additionally, the interior features cross-seating, known as group-facing seating, which is a defining characteristic of this series.\
The 0-series deployed in the Sendai area served on lines such as the Tohoku Main Line, Senzan Line, and Joban Line, but ended operation after 2020. \
Vehicles operating on the Ban'etsu West Line later adopted a unique livery featuring red and black bands.\

This model recreates the appearance of the Ban'etsu West Line cars featuring the Aizu region's mascot character “Akabee”.\
By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model train. \
We recommend the TM-14 (20m-class A2) power unit, TT-04R running parts set, and PS37A [0288] pantograph.\
