Product Description
The “Little Armory” 1/12 scale assembly kit combines realism with compatibility for use with action figures.
Models the M249 Type light machine gun, familiar from movies and anime works.
The M249 is a Belgian-made Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) adopted by the U.S. military in 1982. It fires the same 5.56mm rounds as the M16 and M4 rifles in rapid succession and can share magazines when necessary.
It is over 3kg lighter and shorter overall than the previous general-purpose M60 machine gun, eliminating the need for an ammunition assistant and allowing operation by a single soldier.
The M249's firepower is said to be equivalent to that of 12 riflemen equipped with M16s, making it an extremely reliable asset for infantry squads.
This kit reproduces the most standard M249 setup, featuring a long barrel, heat shield, and resin handguard and stock.
The feed cover and bipod are selectable for open or closed positions.
Includes a resin box magazine holding 200 rounds of 5.56mm belt-linked ammunition.
