Tommytec - Little Armory - LA062 - M14 EBR - RI Type - 310976
The Little Armory series combines realism with compatibility for articulated figures in a 1/12 scale assembly kit.
The M14, an older high-power rifle reintroduced due to the M16/M4's insufficient range on Middle Eastern battlefields.
To adapt it for modern warfare, it was rebuilt with an aluminum chassis featuring a rail system and a variable stock, becoming the EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) used by special forces.
After proving itself in combat, the EBR was subsequently introduced to regular infantry units.
This RI variant was built at the Army's Rock Island Arsenal. It retains the M14's original 22-inch barrel and features modified details like the scope mount and pistol grip.
Deployed to Afghanistan starting in 2010, two rifles were issued per infantry squad to supplement their range. Box art is an original illustration by Yoshino Shizuma.
