Description
Railway Collection - Tokyo Metro Ginza Line - 2063 Formation - Manufacturer's First-Order Limited Production - 315537
The Ginza Line, opened in 1927 between Ueno and Asakusa, is Japan's oldest subway line. The 2000 series operated from around 1968 until around 1993. It was once active in formations including 6-car sets consisting solely of 2000 series lead cars, as well as coupled with 1800 series, 1300 series, and 1500 series cars. The 1500NN type was produced to compensate for the shortage of cars transferred to the Hōnanchō Branch Line for the 2000 series' conversion to 3-car formations. Eight cars, numbered 1561 to 1568, were manufactured. These became the final additional cars produced, featuring side window shapes identical to the 2000 series.
This product is based on the six-car fixed formation in service at the time of retirement in 1993, featuring a roof and body color scheme integrated as one, as seen on the 01 series, the successor to the 2000 series.
Enjoy the Ginza Line, Tokyo's major artery that defined an era. Using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts allows operation as an N gauge model train. Power unit: A TM-10R for 16m-class trains, Running parts set: TT-04R (5.6mm wheel diameter for 2 cars: Gray). ※Model trains use a system powered by the rails. No batteries are used for running, lighting, or illumination.
