The Toyota SORA was first unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2017 and began lease sales in March 2018.\
It became the first fuel cell bus in Japan to obtain Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) type certification (ZBC-MUM1NAE). \
The vehicles introduced by Tokushima Bus are the first of their kind in Shikoku.\

Tokushima Bus Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture, operates routes extending from Higashikagawa City in Kagawa Prefecture to the north, and to Katsuura Town and Anan City in the south.\
Established in 1942 as Tokushima Bus Integration, the company celebrates its 82nd anniversary this year. \
It operates from seven depots: Tokushima, Bandai, Kitajima, Naruto, Kamojima, Tachibana, and Komatsushima.\
Equipped with the Bus Collection dedicated power unit [BM-04].\
