Railway Collection - Hokuetsu Express HK100-101・102 - Daichi Art Festival Wrapped Train - DAICHI - 324126
Hokuetsu Express is a third-sector railway operating the 59.5 km “Hokuhoku Line,” connecting Muikamachi (linked to the Joetsu Line) and Shikata (linked to the Shinetsu Main Line) with Tokamachi at its center.
Before the Hokuriku Shinkansen opened in March 2015, it was also famous as the route for the limited express “Hakutaka.” Currently, all services—including the Super Rapid “Snow Rabbit,” Rapid, and local trains—are operated using the HK100 series. The n100 series debuted as the first single-cab locomotives with the introduction of units 101 and 102. Primarily used for the theater train “Yumesora,” they received wrapping featuring the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale held along the line starting in 2018 and are now called the DAICHI. In August of the same year, the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale” train ran between Echigo-Yuzawa and Matsudai.
By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model train.
The recommended power unit is TM-14 (20m class A2), the running parts set is TT-04R, and the pantograph is [0258]PT4811N.
