Product Description
Kurihara Electric Railway began operations in 1921 as “Kurihara Tramway” and became “Kurihara Railway” in 1941. It was electrified in 1950 and renamed “Kurihara Electric Railway” during the gauge conversion in 1955. Electrification ceased in 1995, and it became the “Kurihara Rural Railway,” but it was regrettably discontinued in 2007. The М15 series were company-ordered cars introduced in 1955, with three units manufactured. This product features a two-car set of М151 and М152, painted in the cream and green livery used until around 1970. As of 2023, the M153, now painted navy blue, yellow, and red, is preserved at the “Kurihara Den-en Railway Park” located at the former site of Wakayanagi Station. We invite you to enjoy the Kurihara Electric Railway of yesteryear through this Railway Collection. By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model railway. We recommend the TM-10R (16m Class A) power unit, TT-03R running parts set, and PG16 [0238] pantograph. ※Display base not included. ※Model trains use a system powered by the track. No batteries are used for running, lighting, or illumination. ※Batteries are not included with this product. *This product does not use fuel.
