The Hokuriku Railway Group is the largest operator in the Hokuriku region, with a route network covering all of Ishikawa Prefecture. Formed in 1943 through the consolidation of various rail and bus companies within Ishikawa Prefecture, it will celebrate its 80th anniversary in October 2023.
To commemorate Hokuriku Railway's 80-year history, this product features four buses: three replicas of historic body colors currently in operation, plus one in the current livery.
The four colors are: the “Red Bus” color used on premium routes and for regular sightseeing/charter services until the 1970s; the “Blue Bus” color used on regular routes during the same period; the “Red Stripe” color adopted for regular routes in 1969 and still used on express buses today; and the current color introduced in 2000 and still used on regular routes.
