TOMYTEC Railway Collection - JNR 32 Series - Diorama Accessories
The Minobu Line is a route operated by JNR (now JR Central), originating from the former Fuji-Minobu Railway. It connects Fuji Station in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, with Kofu Station in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
Because narrow tunnels built before nationalization were electrified without modification, vehicles entering this line faced height restrictions. Consequently, the so-called “low-roof cars,” primarily numbered in the 800 series, were primarily used on this route.
The 32 Series was originally manufactured for the Yokosuka Line. With the introduction of successor models, it was reassigned to the Iida Line and Minobu Line.
For this transfer, intermediate trailers were converted into control cars, and electric cars for the Minobu Line had their roofs lowered along their entire length, significantly altering their appearance.
This product features a 2-car set combining the low-roofed Komoha 14 series 800-series car, based on the Moha 32, with a Sah-modified Kuha 47. Sets C and D each feature cars with different front end designs. *Set C features original wooden window frames, while Set D has H-rubber-supported front windows. By using the separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, these can be operated as N gauge model trains.
We recommend the TM-07R (17m class B) power unit, TT-03R running parts set, and PS13 pantograph. [0224].
