Tommytec - Little Armory - LD049 - UGV Armed Robot System 2 - Caliber Carrier
The 1/12 scale assembly kit “Little Armory” combines realism with compatibility for articulated figures.
A modified model of the US military's prototype armed UGV ‘MAARS’ robot, customized by the National Defense Academy. Its concept is a “self-propelled heavy machine gun.” While the large-caliber machine gun delivers powerful fire capable of effectively striking large Ixys units, its immense weight makes it impractical for designated defense school cadets to transport freely. This ‘Caliber Carrier’ realizes the cadets' wish: “Wouldn't it be awesome if the heavy machine gun could just drive itself...” Adding targeting sensors enables firing operations via remote control alone. Future applications being explored include autonomous combat via AI programs and support roles through multi-platform integration. Designated Defense School cadet Maho Kushi, who participated in trial operations, affectionately nicknamed it “Walking Chopper-kun” due to how it trotted along behind the gunner. The kit includes the UGV body and a full set of control equipment. The turret section features a movable structure allowing rotation. The molded colors are reproduced in two tones, separating the tracks and the main body.
