The Chugoku Highway Bus is an express bus connecting Osaka to Tsuyama City in Okayama Prefecture (with some routes extending to Nishiwaki City, Kasai City, and Kato City in Hyogo Prefecture). Its official name is the “Chugoku Express Line.”
Operated jointly by Shinki Bus and JNR Bus (now West Japan JR Bus) since November 1, 1975, it will celebrate its 50th anniversary in November 2025.
From June 3 to July 31, 2024, Shinki Bus launched a crowdfunding campaign for a retro-painted bus wrap, generating significant buzz.
Through the cooperation of Shinki Bus and West Japan JR Bus, this product is a Chugoku Highway Bus 50th Anniversary Set featuring two vintage Mitsubishi Fuso Aero Buses.
It is also compatible with the Bus Collection Running System BM-04.
