Nankai Electric Railway is a railway company connecting Osaka's Namba with Wakayama, Koyasan, and Kansai International Airport. \
Founded in December 1885, it is Japan's oldest private railway company.\
The 2200 Series 2230 Type was introduced after 1993, based on the 22000 Series that had been in service on the Nankai Koya Line since 1969, modified for use on branch lines. \
This series had its front-end gangway frame and electrical coupler removed. Later, modifications were made to enable one-man operation. \
Since its introduction, it has been used on various branch lines such as the Koya Line (between Shiobashi Station and Kishisato-Tamade Station), the Takashihama Line, the Tanagawa Line, the Kata Line, and the Wakayama Port Line, but all cars are scheduled to be retired after spring 2025. \
To mark their retirement, starting in January 2025, the 2231 train set will be restored to its appearance when it operated as the 22000 series, with an “Oriental Green body and Emerald Green stripe”.\

This product reproduces the 2231 train set, restored to the same paint scheme as the 22000 series. \
By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be run as an N gauge model train.\
We recommend the TM-05R (17m class A) power unit, TT-04R running parts set, and PT4811N pantograph. [0258].\

*Due to mold limitations, some parts, such as underframe equipment, differ slightly in shape from the actual vehicle.\
