The 185 Series is a DC limited express train introduced in 1981. \
The 185 Series at Tamachi Depot primarily served the limited express “Odoriko.” In addition to the 0-series introduced to replace the 153 Series, the depot also housed the 200-series, snow- and cold-resistant models transferred due to surplus. \
The 185 series used for the “Odoriko” underwent refurbishment around 1999, receiving a new paint scheme. Further, in 2010, their skirts were upgraded to the reinforced type. However, starting in 2011, they were repainted to their original cream No. 10 color with a diagonal green No. 14 stripe band. \
With the timetable revision in March 2021, it ended operation on the limited express “Odoriko” service, and as of 2024, two 6-car sets are in active service on group and special trains.\
High Grade (HG) specification.\
Car numbers are selectable and compatible with transfer sheets (Use the ones included in the basic set).\
Green car mark, shoe rail, and door rail are pre-printed.\
Toilet tank is pre-installed.\
New power collection system and black wheels are used.\
TN couplers (SP) with piping are standard equipment between each coupling face.\
*Model trains are powered by a system that supplies electricity from the rails. No batteries are used for running, lighting, or illumination.\
