TOMIX-2000 Series-Jōban Line Local Train-Extension Set-98842
The E233-2000 series Jōban Line local trains introduced in 2009 feature a design and exterior adapted for direct subway operation.
Starting in 2016, operations expanded to include the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line and interlining with Odakyu Electric Railway. With this direct operation, the position and shape of the skirt were slightly changed, giving it a unique impression. In 2022, the headlights on some trains were replaced with LED lights, and as of 2023, the replacement is still in progress. As of 2023, 19 ten-car trains are in active service as the main trains for local trains on the Joban Line.
Side green glass reproduced.
New current collector system and black wheels adopted.
