◆Fujifilm's long-lasting disinfectant HydroAg (Hydro Ag Plus) alcohol spray. ◆We are pleased to announce that our unique antibacterial technology, the long-lasting disinfectant “Hydro Ag Plus Spray,” has obtained the first certification under the “Commercial Disinfection Film Application” certification newly launched by the Society of Industrial Antibacterial Products Association (SIAA) on the 1st of this month. Using the “Hydro Ag Alcohol Spray” for continuous environmental wiping in settings where hygiene maintenance is highly desired, such as nursing facilities, schools, and tutoring centers, is expected to provide a sustained reduction in bacteria on surfaces after wiping. About SIAA's “Commercial Disinfection Film Application” Certification The “Commercial Disinfection Film Application” certification is a new SIAA certification system targeting products used by contractors to form coatings, such as sprays and paints. It evaluates disinfection efficacy based on SIAA-defined standards by testing objects surface-treated with these products according to JIS Z 2811. JIS Z 2811 is a standard specifying test methods to evaluate the properties of solid surfaces that maintain antibacterial effects even after repeated bacterial adhesion, as opposed to temporary removal like alcohol disinfection. An object is judged to have “repeated antibacterial effect” if the bacterial count on its treated surface is 1/100 or less compared to an untreated state. Hydro Ag Spray has been proven to provide a sustained bacteria-reducing effect on treated surfaces when used for wiping.
