The GA-2100 retains the octagonal form inherited from the original G-SHOCK design concept, while adding smartphone link and Tough Solar. A new thin module with optimized circuit board placement was developed to accommodate the increased number of parts required for the advanced functionality. Combined with the Carbon Core Guard structure, it maintains the size of the previous model. The blue, green, and yellow case and band colors are a revival of the “first colors” adopted for the 5600 series. The blue, green, and all-black models feature minimalist coloring throughout.
