Product Description
VIC Hobby “Zero Fighter (Mitsubishi) Color Set” is a model paint set.
Each set contains 4 colors: “Mitsubishi Zero Fighter Cowling Color,” “Zero Fighter Cockpit Color (Common to Mitsubishi and Nakajima),” “Imperial Japanese Navy Dark Green (Mitsubishi Type),” “Imperial Japanese Navy J3 Gray”.
Each color contains: 16ml
Based on the latest research on Zero painting, the J3 Gray underside color has been added as a new shade. The Dark Green and Cowling colors also reproduce differences between manufacturers, while the Cockpit color uses the newly researched manufacturer-common shade. This set contains a total of 4 paints, organized by Zero manufacturer.
SP034: Mitsubishi Zero Cowling Color
This is the cowling color used consistently on Zero models from the Model 11 to the Model 62. While fading could cause a bluish tint due to the raw materials, this product reproduces the freshly painted, unfaded factory color tone.
SP035: Zero Fighter Cockpit Color (Common to Mitsubishi and Nakajima)
This was a common interior color for Navy aircraft and was also used in the Zero Fighter.
Previously, it was believed that there was a difference in the interior color between Mitsubishi and Nakajima Zero Fighters,
but this product reproduces the green-based color based on new research indicating that it was common to both.
SP046: Imperial Japanese Navy Dark Green (Mitsubishi Type)
This color was used as the upper surface camouflage color for Mitsubishi-made Zero fighters from the late production Model 22 to the Model 62.
The color of Mitsubishi-made Zero fighters is said to have been a relatively bright shade among the green colors used on Imperial Japanese Army and Navy aircraft.
SP047: Imperial Japanese Navy J3 Gray
This gray was applied to the entire fuselage of early production models from the Zero Type 11 to Type 22, and to the underside of the fuselage from Type 22 to Type 62.
This product reproduces the gray, which was simply a mixture of black and white, in a state unaffected by fading due to sunlight.
VIC Color Features
・Both paint and primer are odorless.
・Self-leveling properties minimize brush streaks.
・Brushes and tools can be cleaned with tap water; dedicated thinner is usually unnecessary. ・Does not clog fine 0.18mm airbrushes; airbrushes can be cleaned with tap water. ・※When using an airbrush, dilution with thinner is recommended. Thinner has an alcohol odor. Tips for Use ・For both brush and airbrush application, applying primer before painting is recommended. This prevents paint beading and strengthens the painted surface. Use VIC Semi-Gloss Reducer or Gloss Reducer for the final coat to adjust the gloss level. Set Contents: Mitsubishi Zero Fighter Cowling Color / Zero Fighter Cockpit Color (Common for Mitsubishi and Nakajima) / Imperial Japanese Navy Dark Green (Mitsubishi Type) / Imperial Japanese Navy J3 Gray ※This product is hobby paint. Please prepare tools separately.
