Product Introduction
TACOM “1/350 Italian Navy Horizon-class Destroyer D553 Andrea Doria/D554 Caio Duilio” Plastic model kit.
The Horizon-class destroyers are missile destroyers jointly developed by France and Italy under the Horizon Project in the 1990s.
Originally a tripartite project involving the UK, it featured a common hull design equipped with jointly developed anti-aircraft weapon systems.
However, differences in requirements between the UK and France/Italy regarding radars, hull structures, and other specifications led to the UK's withdrawal from the project in 1999.
In 2000, France ordered two Forbin-class destroyers and Italy ordered two Andrea Doria-class destroyers from the joint venture company established by France and Italy.
You can choose to assemble either D553 Andrea Doria or D554 Caio Duilio.
Includes etching parts, clear parts, and two sets of markings.
