Japan's largest giant locomotive, “Kintaro,” arrives in Plarail. Includes a set of 10 freight cars. Set contents: 1 EH500 Kintaro locomotive, 3 container cars, 4 interchangeable container cars, 3 tank cars. Requires 1 AA battery (sold separately).
A long-selling product from TOMY, over 40 years since its release. Its prototype was the ‘Plastic Train Rail Set’ released in 1959, which was played with by rolling it by hand. Since then, improvements have been made to make assembly easier and reduce breakdowns, but no fundamental model changes have been made. In the 1960s, a 3-car set type with a small built-in motor was released, and the 3-car set remains the basic configuration today.
