A long-selling product from TOMY, with over 40 years since its initial release. The original prototype was the ‘Plastic Train Rail Set’ released in 1959, which was played with by rolling it by hand. Since then, improvements have been made to make assembly easier and eliminate malfunctions, but no fundamental model changes have been made. In the 1960s, a type with a built-in small motor and a 3-car set was released, and even now, the basic vehicle configuration remains a 3-car set. Its appeal lies in the high freedom of play: a 3-year-old child can play independently, add more track layouts to run the train, or even create large-scale layouts with parents to build entire towns.
