AOSHIMA 1/700 Waterline Series No.549 Imperial Japanese Navy Special Submarine Mother Ship Chiyoda Plastic Model Kit
AOSHIMA's Waterline Series has been renewed with greater precision. . Main guns, machine guns, and shipboard craft fittings have been newly researched and designed. Numerous slide mechanisms in the molds accurately reproduce the intricate details of 1/700 scale. We present the Waterline Series, reborn with greater precision.
Built as a seaplane carrier like her sister ship Chitose, the Chiyoda underwent multiple conversions into a special submarine carrier and then an aircraft carrier. This kit depicts her final configuration as a special submarine carrier capable of carrying and operating 12 special submarines (Type A Target), rendered as a 1/700 scale plastic model kit.
Featuring a streamlined parts configuration, it offers simple assembly while achieving accurate reproduction.
Newly designed fittings like anti-aircraft guns and machine guns have been added.
It effectively captures the precision and intricate detail of the 1/700 scale.
