The outfitting parts have been newly researched and designed. By incorporating numerous slide mechanisms into the molds, the intricate details of the 1/700 scale have been accurately reproduced. We present the Waterline series, reborn with greater precision.
Originally built as a cargo ship for Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, this vessel was converted into a special seaplane tender in 1942 during the Pacific War. While on transport duty, it survived two torpedo attacks from US submarines when the torpedoes failed to detonate, but was sunk by bombing in May 1945. This kit is a 1/700 scale plastic model of the “Kunikawa Maru” converted into an auxiliary seaplane tender. Its focused parts configuration ensures simple, easy assembly while achieving accurate reproduction. Newly designed parts include 25mm twin machine guns and aircraft catapults. It effectively captures the precision and intricate detail of 1/700 scale.
