Reproduces the first generation of trains belonging to the Tamachi Depot around 1965 (Showa 40), when school trip transportation peaked.\
Accurately recreates the square body with its low roof structure. Faithfully expresses the vivid body colors of Vermilion No. 3 and Yellow No. 5 used from 1962 (Showa 37) onward.\
Reproduces 155 Series features such as the globe ventilator and 3-row + 2-row box seating.\
Equipped with the well-regarded flywheel-equipped power unit. Ensures smooth, stable running.\
Head/tail lights and illuminated front display (with off switch) are standard equipment, displaying “School Trip” by default. Plain parts are included for front display replacement.\
Body-mounted KATO close-coupling type couplers are standard equipment on both leading and intermediate sections. Compatible with the longest 16-car formations seen on the actual trains.\
Optional body support parts (user-installed accessories) can be attached to the front end.\
