KATO-Kintetsu 10100 Series-New Vista Car-3-Car Set-10-1910
Modeled after the modified form implemented by around 1975.
Reproduces the radio antenna added atop the front roof of the leading car during the refurbishment, the front window defroster, and the front underfloor snow plow.
The double-deck intermediate car Sa10200 reproduces the altered window placement and interior due to toilet relocation, as well as the presence or absence of a snack corner (the 9-car sets 10218 and 10210 lack the snack corner).
The Sa10200 series exterior reproduces late-service characteristics, such as the blue paint on the lower body sections and the removal of the radio receiving antenna from the roof.
The 6-car A formation set reproduces the V01 formation, featuring the only non-pass-through leading car, the Mo10100 series, with pillars on its front windows. All leading cars except 10106 and 10110 feature illuminated head/tail lights, marker lights, and limited express markings. White LEDs are used, with only the through-type leading car equipped with an off switch. The adoption of slotless motors achieves smooth and quiet running performance. Formations A and C are powered; Formation B is non-powered. All non-passageway front ends are equipped with body-mounted KATO close-coupling couplers (without hooks). The 6-car and 9-car sets feature non-passageway front ends with pre-installed limited express markings. Limited express markings for passageway front ends and front end covers for mounting these markings are included. The 3-car C formation set comes with both end cars pre-fitted with limited express markings, and includes interchangeable front covers to reproduce the non-marking configuration.
The included destination boards feature the content for the Otsu Limited Express (stopping at major stations), which was central to its final operational phase. Content includes: “Osaka Uehonmachi”, “Kashikojima”, “Kyoto”, ‘Nara’, “Kashihara-Jingumae”, “Nagoya (light blue)”. “Toba (light blue)”.
Includes the headmark and transfer sign displayed during the farewell run.
The C-set (3 cars) can be stored inside the box of the A-set + B-set (6 cars).
