KATO-JR Shikoku 8000 Series - Shikaze/Ishizuchi - 3-Car Set - 10-1939
Reproduces the refurbished cars introduced starting in 2004.\
The 8500 series (3-car set) reproduces the specification with pantographs removed, as seen on cars from around 2010.\
The 5-car set reproduces the L4 formation, while the 3-car set reproduces the S5 formation.\
The 3-car set is also suitable for beginners. (2010).\
The 3-car set is a “Best Selection” package, recommended for beginners.\
Features include the distinctive non-passageway end design with its curved surfaces conveying speed, and the pantograph control unit on the roof. \
Head/tail lights illuminate on each leading car. The 8400/8200 series non-passageway leading cars feature an illumination switch. \
All cars feature body-mounted close-coupling couplers without hooks. The non-passageway leading car has a dummy coupler.\
Couplers + skirts for connecting to the 8400/8200 series are included.\
The power cars in the 5-car and 8-car sets have traction tires; the 3-car set does not have traction tires to allow for coupled operation. \
Smooth and quiet running is achieved using slotless motors.\
Equipped with KATO's unique body sway mechanism, which reproduces the inward body tilt when passing curves, just like the real train.\
Destination display stickers are included.\
