Description
N Gauge-No.3103-1-Alps Ge6 Convex Locomotive ※1
Reproduces Locomotive No. 414, still active today as a preserved operational locomotive, in its form around 2023. Features include the distinctive rod-driven running gear, the bonnet section that pivots with the bogies, and the body with significantly different window and louver layouts on each side. The commemorative 100th anniversary plaque attached to one crew door on No. 414 is reproduced via printing. The yellow handrail beside the crew compartment door is reproduced as a separate part. Headlights illuminate (warm white LED). All three headlights on the front illuminate; the light in the center of the front window does not illuminate. The silver rims of the left and right headlights are reproduced. The large, uniquely shaped pantograph is reproduced. A coreless motor ensures stable running. Standard equipment includes short couplers for the Glacier Express. Arnold couplers are included as replacements. Brand Name: KATO Couplers, Replacement Arnold Couplers The Ge6/6-I, commonly known as the “Rhaetian Crocodile,” is a rod-driven, six-axle, convex electric locomotive introduced in 1921 following the electrification of the Albula Line. Long used for hauling various freight trains, two units remain in operational preservation over 100 years later. Not only for event trains, but during summer it is also incorporated into regular schedules as part of formations with other historic passenger cars and open panorama coaches, continuing its active service as if still in regular operation. KATO's latest technology faithfully recreates the compact body packed with mechanical structure. Enjoy it alongside the Ge4/4-III 643 Alpine Locomotive (3101-7), scheduled for release in August 2025, and the Alpine Glacier Express (10-2026/2027).
