KATO Starter Set - Around the Kyushu - Introductory Set - 10-015 Product Introduction This set reproduces the Bo104 formation belonging to the Oita Rolling Stock Center. It recreates the form prior to the conversion to single-unit operation from around 2011 (Heisei 23) when the “AROUND THE KYUSHU” logo was introduced until 2017 (Heisei 29). \
The 4-car set reproduces Kuroha 786 (downbound semi-green car) and Kuha 787 0 series (upbound ordinary car).\
Sah 787-100 is available as a single item. Recommended for use as an additional car for the 7-car set to recreate the “Relay Kamome” and “Kasagi” trains.\
The leading car of each set features a dummy coupler with electric connection and a skirt. A coupler set and skirt for leading car coupling are included.\
It is also possible to recreate the 6+6 12-car ‘Kirameki’ formation or the occasionally seen and much talked about 4+4 substitute “Sonic” formation. \
Head/tail lights illuminate. Headlights reproduced with white LEDs (upper lights bulb color, fog lights yellow). Includes an off switch.\
Undercarriage equipment and running gear, such as bogies, are painted blue-gray matching the 787 Series “Tsubame,” while couplers are black. Features black-stained wheels.\
Equipped with the well-regarded power unit for stable running. The 4-car set omits traction tires to accommodate coupled operation.\
Destination display stickers included. Features newly introduced services “Kasasagi” and “Relay Kamome”.\
The stickers included with the 4-car set also cover one-man operation for limited express and local train services. Exterior speaker markings are included to allow reproduction of the one-man operation conversion appearance.\
