Tamiya 1/6 Scale “Motorcycle Series No. 31 Honda Gorilla Spring Collection” Plastic Model Kit.
The Gorilla debuted in August 1978 as a sibling model to the Honda Monkey, which pioneered the leisure bike category.
While the Monkey was designed to be transported by car to destinations, the Gorilla was developed with the premise of riding to destinations under its own power, featuring a large 9-liter fuel tank and a seat suited for long-distance riding. Production was discontinued in 1992, but due to its enduring popularity in the used market, production resumed in 1998. A special model featuring full chrome plating was released in January 1999.
