Tamiya Waterline Series No. 460 Imperial Japanese Navy Destroyer Plastic Model Kit
Models the Shimakaze around June 1944 during the Battle of the Philippine Sea. The streamlined hull, designed for high speed, is split left and right, with the upper deck as a separate part. Anchors and chains are also precisely reproduced. The quintuple torpedo tubes and twin 12.7cm guns, developed specifically for the Shimakaze, can be rotated using polycaps.
