1/72 scale plastic model kit.
The F-15E Dual-Role Fighter is a variant of the F-15 Eagle enhanced for ground attack capabilities. To perform both long-range ground attack and air superiority combat, conformal fuel tanks are mounted on both sides of the fuselage. These tanks also feature six weapon stations, significantly increasing the aircraft's weapons payload. Consequently, the fire control system has been greatly enhanced, now supporting not only air-to-air but also air-to-ground capabilities.
Furthermore, the F-15E incorporates the LANTARN system, substantially improving night navigation and attack capabilities.
This system utilizes infrared technology for navigation and attack, projecting images resembling daytime scenery onto a new wide-angle HUD and the rear seat CRT, enabling safe and highly accurate navigation and attack operations.
