Product Description
The hull features a left-right split construction. Internal support inserts ensure stable assembly. The flight deck, featuring blast vents, is precisely reproduced. Main gun turrets, anti-aircraft gun shields, and torpedo tube shields are precision-molded as single parts using slide molds. The main gun barrel tips feature slide-molded muzzles. The complex steam exhaust pipes around the funnels are also accurately represented as separate parts. Clear parts are used for the bridge windows, carrier aircraft windshields, and searchlights. Movable parts include the rudder, main guns (rotation/elevation), 6m rangefinder, machine gun firing mechanism, 8cm twin anti-aircraft guns (rotation/elevation), torpedo tubes, catapult, and Type 94 anti-aircraft mount. The anti-aircraft gun barrels can be raised to a vertical position. Two Type 0 three-seat seaplane reconnaissance aircraft are included as carrier-based aircraft. The canopy is a separate clear-molded part. The display stand has been improved from the Akagi version, featuring pins extending from the stand that insert into the hull.
