Description
The second ship of the Nagato-class battleships, the Mikuni, is now available in the 700 Special Series No. 33 Japanese Navy Battleships Plastic Model Big Seven series with new parts. This is an unpainted kit that requires assembly with glue and painting. The scale is 1/700, and the ship's bottom is not included. This product is made up of the previous (Special Series) mold and newly designed additional parts. The battleship Rikugun was built at the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal as the second ship of the Yabei Fleet Plan and was established in 1877 as the Nagato-class battleship. It was equipped with eight 41cm main guns, the largest of its kind at the time. Between 1999 and 1911, the ship underwent modernization for the Japanese Navy and, along with its sister ship, Nagato, became flagships of the Combined Fleet, becoming a beloved symbol of the Japanese Navy. After the remodeling, its standard displacement was 39,050 tons, with 82,000 horsepower and a speed of 25.3 knots. During the first half of the Pacific War, the ship was attacked during the Battle of Midway and the Second Battle of the Solomon Islands, but did not engage in combat with the U.S. military. It sank in June 1848 after an explosion of unknown origin on Insi Jam Island. This product is based on the appearance of the long-range battleship "Mutsu" from December 1946 (the start of the war) to June 1947 (the final episode). To unify the differences in equipment reproduction depending on the production period, new parts have been designed, and some parts have been separated to allow for painting. The 5-inch (12.7 cm) twin anti-aircraft gun A model is subdivided into five parts, and the 9.2 yd (9 m) cutter, which previously consisted of two parts, has been split into two parts for painting. The mount is a separate part, and the top surface can be selected as solid molded or not (with some exceptions). The 11-meter turret has separate canvas and hull/aircraft canopy parts to accommodate painting. Each part is coated before assembly and glued together, as in the later model. The 12-meter turret can also be reproduced without canvas. The fuselage cradle is molded with a concave and convex shape and light holes for a more precise model. The chrysanthemum crest on the bow is newly sculpted. New fender lamps are included, allowing for even greater expression with the included parts. Decals are included for the Canter's name (painted in the Monsieur Tone color scheme of the warship) and the white lines on the mast. The Type 96 1.0-inch (25mm) twin machine guns are standard specification to reduce painting and painting work. Hull: The hull is made of one piece on each side of the fender. This is a special part that reproduces the fairlead and anchor stand position, which differs from the Nagato. The fender sides feature detailed carvings on the front of the frill. Decks: The upper deck is a one-piece structure made of delicate wooden decking. The supply tanks on the deck are depicted with sharp carvings, and the wooden top features deep carvings that are easy for small hands to hold. The Cambridge base (Cambridge deck) is a one-piece part made using a slide mold. Kantashi Mast: The second gun commander, a distinctive feature of the Captain's Gate, has four windows. The lower bridge is a one-piece part made using a slide mold. The front of the Cambridge is assembled by stacking each layer, and the floor is reproduced using grating. Each Cambridge part comes with a binocular telescope, and small accessories are also included. The three mast legs are divided into two parts to recreate the shape of the figure. The cross tree and top yard are made using a combination of one and separate parts to recreate the complex shape. Main Gun Turret and Funnel: The main gun barrel and canvas are one piece, and the angle of the perspective elevation is fixed. The main gun barrel is opened and closed using a slide mold. The funnel is made of two parts, one glued to the left and one to the right, and the steam exhaust pipe is a separate type. The funnel cap maintains a sense of precision even when removed. Aft Mast: The aircraft deck is made using a slide mold that reproduces the specified side walls and engraving. Two Type 95 floatplanes are included and molded in gray. Other: The striped pattern on the floor of the anti-aircraft guns and other features is expressed with fine engraving. The 25mm gun features a precise shape and is easy to paint. This kit includes a two-part model used in 2018. It's molded in gray and includes the main parts, base plate, fleet aircraft, and aircraft parts. Two decals are included. The decals include markings for the ship's flag, the Japanese flag, fleet aircraft, and warship flags. The actual size is 1/700 scale, with widths of 10, 6, and 3. The decals include the Hinomaru flags used on ships and aircraft and their corresponding yellow stripes. The Hinomaru flags are also available without the white border seen at the end of the war. The decals include splash markings and the ship's chrysanthemum crest (in two versions: gold and warship colors). 36 runners, 1 assembly instruction manual, and 3 decals. This product is made in Japan. This is a plastic model kit that requires assembly.
