Description
Fujimi Model - Special Series - No. 17 - Japanese Navy Aircraft Carrier - Special - 17 This figure includes new parts for the "Amagi," the second Unryu-class ship, a mass-produced medium-sized aircraft carrier designed for simplified construction. This is an unpainted kit that requires assembly and painting with adhesive. The scale is 1/700, and the ship's bottom is not included. This product is constructed using the molds from the previous model (Special Series) and newly designed additional parts. Amagi was the second Unryu-class ship, built at the Mitsubishi Nagasaki Marine Corps' Yakuhin Division in August 1919. The basic plan number was G16, and Unryu was included in the (assault) plan. 15 ships, including this one, were built to compensate for the loss of aircraft carriers after the Battle of Midway. To shorten the production time, the shape of the aircraft carrier Hiryu was redesigned to simplify the aircraft carrier's design, and the later ships, Unryu and Katsuragi, became simpler in shape. (br) By the time Amagi was at Lake Saiko, her aircraft carriers were already dissatisfied, and the identical Katsuragi was waiting nearby. (br) Commissioned on July 20, 1920, it missed its first battle and surfaced after the war, dismantling it in November 1922. (br) This figure differs from the Kantun Dragon 1 in features such as an easy-to-assemble square machine gun turret and an extended rear Crebridge. (br) It includes newly designed parts, unifying differences in equipment reproduction between product release dates. Some parts are also separated for painting. The No. 13 radar features a truss structure and new sealing parts to represent the antenna shape. The No. 21 Type 6 radar for the Crebridge and a front insulator base for mounting the elements are included. (br) The 5.0-inch (12.7 cm) twin anti-aircraft gun A1 has been re-separated into six parts, increasing the resolution of the model from the previous two-part product. (br) The 9m gun barrel is made into two parts for painting convenience, and the mounting base comes as a separate part, with a single top panel for selection. (br) The 12m machine gun is made into separate parts for painting, with the canvas, cargo bed, and engine room canopy being made into separate parts. Each coat is applied, assembled, and then glued together to form the later model. (Br) The vehicle is made up of three parts, with the hull and cargo bed floor being separate parts. After painting, no masking is required for assembly. (br) The 12m machine gun cannon can be reproduced without the canvas. The aircraft carrier is molded and equipped with light holes for increased precision. The chrysanthemum crest on the bow has been newly sculpted. A pair of fender lights, which were omitted on previous models, has been added as an additional part. Decals featuring fleet names (Mardi Tone, warship-colored paint) have been added. The Type 96 1.0-inch (25mm) triple gun is a standard specification that reduces painting and painting labor. The set includes six of each of four models: Zero Fighter 52, 21 (Bomber), Type 99 22, and Tenzan Attack. The hull is split into left and right halves. The fender windows along the fenders can be recreated to show their reduced size during combat training. The fleet's anchor deck is equipped with anti-slip strips, bollards, and hawser reels, and also includes a three-dimensionally carved anchor. (br) The flight deck is constructed as a single part, with the elevator as a separate part. The surface is sculpted with a variety of shapes, including maneuvering eye rings, loading brake lines, and expansion joints. (br) The flight deck features a windbreak fence as a sculpture. (br) The flight deck features the undetectable No. 21 radar and two hidden detectors, and can be displayed in either stowed or deployed positions. (br) The elevator can be installed by selecting whether it rises or falls into the storage box. (br) The truss structure beneath the flight deck is recreated as a three-dimensional sculpture. The crane on the flight deck is in its stowed position. (br) The Cambridge base is a one-piece part made using a slide mold. (br) The funnel is divided into upper and lower parts, with the internal conductor plate as a separate part. The funnel caps are molded in their "contracted" state for a sense of precision. (br) The Cambridge (Air Defense Command) comes with a binocular telescope part for enhanced precision. (br) The upper capillaries and gun markers on the fender sides are separate parts, and the striped pattern on the floor is finely sculpted. (br) The machine guns and anti-aircraft gun sponson posts are reproduced with finely molded parts. (br) A wide variety of separate parts are used for the equipment on the fender sides, such as the radio masts and onboard flaps. (br) The 25mm triple cannon is precisely sculpted and easy to paint, and two parts and 2018 standard molded parts are included. A total of 24 aircraft are included, with six of each of four types. The models include four types: the Zero Fighter 52, Zero Fighter 21, Suisei, and Tenzan, which belonged to the 6th 1st Air Group. Four Zero Fighter 52s are included, and the windshield and propeller are separate parts for ease of painting. (br) Four Zero Fighter Type 21 (Bonbon) aircraft are included, with the wings deployed and the 550 pound bomb under the fuselage reproduced as separate parts. (br) The Suisei Carrier Bomber Type 12 comes with a windshield and propeller, and the 132.2 pound (60 kg) bomb comes as a separate part, making it easy to paint. (br) Four Tenzan Carrier Attack Planes are included, with the 4-wing propeller and the 650 pound bomb under the fuselage as separate parts. (br) The molding color is a pale green, taking into consideration the color of the main parts when painting opposing camouflage. (br) The carrier aircraft and machine gun parts are gray.
