Description
Fujimi Models - C Series No. 40 - Naval Technical Arsenal - Zero-Type Small Seaplane - C-40 Product Introduction The Zero-Type Small Seaplane was developed by the Naval Technical Arsenal as a reconnaissance aircraft for submarines and was formally adopted in 1940. The airframe was a monoplane, lightweight with a fabric-covered skeleton. \
To enable storage aboard submarines, it featured foldable twin wings and a design that lowered the vertical tail to the absolute minimum.\
\
This aircraft excelled in conducting covert reconnaissance over vast areas.\
In 1942, it gained notoriety as the only aircraft to ever bomb the U.S. mainland when a unit aboard Submarine I-25 carried out a bombing raid on forests in Oregon. \
This product is a 1/72 scale kit reproducing the Imperial Japanese Navy's “Zero-type Small Seaplane”.\
The molded color is gray for easy painting.\
The canopy and inspection windows on the lower fuselage are molded clear. \
The Kure Type 1 Model 4 Catapult is reproduced at 150mm total length.\
The catapult can be used as a display stand after assembly.\
The package illustration is newly drawn by Mikiya Yoshihara.\
A mini-box paper craft is included so it can be displayed alongside the completed model after assembly. \
Decals are provided in sets of two sheets,\
including markings for the 6th Fleet Attached Air Group and prototype aircraft from the Naval Air Technical Arsenal (individual numbers),\
the Hinomaru mark on the fuselage, and cockpit instrument panels.\
The instruction manual has been completely revised, clearly displaying decal combination charts and painting instructions.\
※This product is made in Japan. \
