Surface Preparation:
■ If old paint film crumbles to powder when touched, remove it using a scraper, wire brush, or sandpaper before painting.
■When painting walls with tobacco stains or dirt, thoroughly wipe away the dirt or apply Asahipen Tar & Stain Blocking Sealer as a primer.
■When painting earthen walls, plaster walls, fiber walls, etc., apply Asahipen Wall Paint Primer or Asahipen Water-Based Sealer as a primer.
■For smooth surfaces, roughen the surface with sandpaper before painting.
■When painting directly onto iron surfaces, thoroughly remove rust and apply a rust-inhibiting primer.
■When painting onto concrete or mortar surfaces, always apply Asahi Pen Strong Penetrating Water-Based Sealer or Asahi Pen Oil-Based Sealer as a primer. For new concrete or mortar, wait at least one month after application before painting.
■ For areas with mold or algae growth, remove mold and algae using a mold remover before painting.\
