This set is designed to paint each color of tank model monochrome camouflage with a color modulation finish.
To use, first apply the base color over the entire surface. Then, spray the highlights in the order of Highlight 1, followed by Highlight 2, creating a gradient effect on each surface. Finally, spray the shadow color into recesses and shaded areas to broaden the tonal range.
For basic gradient application: spray highlights from front to back on horizontal surfaces and top to bottom on vertical surfaces. Spray shadows in the opposite direction. Color modulation is a painting technique that recreates the light and shadow patterns seen on actual vehicles when illuminated as the base coat on a model. It is said to have been inspired by 3DCG rendering techniques used in games.
