GSI Creos “Water-Based Gundam Color GQuuuuuuX Dark Gray Semi-Gloss 10ml” is a model paint.
Introducing the water-based Gundam Color that reproduces the body color of the main mobile suit, GQuuuuuuX, from ‘Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX’ (pronounced: Zieg Ax).
This is a water-soluble acrylic resin paint that can be diluted with water.
It uses a milder organic solvent compared to solvent-based acrylic resin paints.
Therefore, the paint odor is also mild, making it easier to handle.
It becomes water-resistant after drying.
Before drying, dilution with water and tool cleaning are possible.
After drying, clean with Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai or similar products.
The paint film exhibits excellent gloss and smoothness.
For brush application, dilution is generally unnecessary. Use it as is.
If viscosity is too high, add a small amount of water or Water-Based Hobby Color Thinner to thin it.
For airbrushing, add approximately equal parts water-based hobby color thinner to the paint (dilution ratio about 1:1).
Water dilution is possible, but excessive moisture causes the paint to bead off the surface. Additionally, increased water content prolongs drying time.
For brush application, apply 1-2 thin coats. For airbrushing, apply 2-3 thin coats for a clean finish. If the base color is dark and shows through the topcoat, apply additional coats as needed.
This paint contains organic solvents.
Ensure adequate ventilation during and after use.
Do not mix with other model paints. ※When applied to ABS resin parts, the paint may penetrate the resin, causing the part to become brittle and potentially crack. Carefully check the assembly instructions and part runner markings, and avoid painting “ABS resin parts”. ※This product is hobby paint. Please prepare tools separately.
