GSI Creos “Mr. Color Clear Red Gloss 10ml” is a model paint. Mr. Color has been the standard in model paints for over 40 years since its release. It is highly regarded by modelers worldwide. 【 Product Features 】 ・Offers a wide range of colors, suitable for painting numerous model genres including characters, scale models (tanks, aircraft, ships), and more. ・Can utilize a broad spectrum of pigments and metallic particles, often providing better color development than water-based paints (especially metallic and blue-based paints). ・Being a solvent-based paint, it dries quickly. ・The dried paint film is hard, achieving a beautiful glossy finish. ・The resin used provides a substantial feel (thickness) and forms an optimal paint film. 【 Dilution and Coating Layers 】 ・When painting with Mr. Color, it must be thinned appropriately using Mr. Color Thinner. Mr. Color Thinner can also be used to clean brushes and airbrushes used with Mr. Color. ・Compared to water-based paints, the viscosity is higher. If brush application is difficult, add Mr. Color Thinner. (Guideline: Paint : Thinner = 1 : up to 1) Additionally, mixing a few drops of the dedicated Mr. Retarder Mild slows drying speed and reduces brush streaks. ・For airbrush painting, dilute the paint according to its viscosity, using a ratio of approximately 1 part paint to 2 parts thinner maximum. When using an airbrush, do not apply all at once. Limit the first pass to a light overall coat, then apply thin layers in two or three subsequent passes. 【 Adjusting from Gloss to Semi-Gloss/Matte 】 ・For gloss-type Mr. Color paints, adjust the gloss level using C30 Flat Base. For a semi-gloss finish, mix in about 5-10% Flat Base with the paint. Mixing in about 10-20% Flat Base will produce a matte finish. Adjusting the Flat Base ratio allows you to achieve various gloss levels. Caution: ・This paint contains organic solvents. Ensure adequate ventilation during and after use. ・Cannot be mixed with other model paints besides Mr. Color and Mr. Color GX. ※When applied to ABS resin parts, the paint may penetrate the resin, causing the part to become brittle and potentially crack. Carefully check assembly instructions and part runner markings; avoid painting “ABS resin parts”.
