Product Introduction
GSI Creos “New Water-Based Hobby Color Metallic Red Metallic 10ml” Hobby Paint.
Water-Based Hobby Color was introduced in 1982, designed for safe and comfortable painting enjoyment at home.
In 2019, after approximately 38 years, the main ingredient formulation was revised, dramatically improving performance and safety.
This allows for casual, professional-quality painting even in the home.
This is a water-soluble acrylic resin paint that can be diluted with water.
It uses a milder organic solvent compared to solvent-based acrylic resin paints, with a lower solvent content.
Therefore, the paint odor is also mild, making it easier to handle.
It becomes water-resistant after drying.
Before drying, it can be diluted with water and tools can be cleaned with water.
After drying, please clean using Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai or similar products.
The film exhibits excellent gloss and smoothness.
For brush application, dilution is generally not necessary. It can be used as is.
If viscosity is too high, add a small amount of water or water-based hobby color thinner to loosen it.
For airbrushing, add approximately equal parts water-based hobby color thinner to paint. (Approx. 1:1 dilution ratio)
Water dilution is possible, but excessive moisture causes the paint to bead off the surface.
Additionally, increased water content prolongs drying time.
For a beautiful finish, apply 1-2 thin coats with a brush or 2-3 thin coats with an airbrush.
If the base color is dark and shows through the topcoat, apply additional coats as needed. To achieve a matte finish with gloss colors, add at least 15% H40 Flat Base. For a semi-gloss finish, add 5-10%. Coating strength has been improved, enhancing the quality of gloss finishes. Drying speed has been increased. Due to changes in raw materials, the range of usable pigments has expanded. Using pigments nearly identical to Mr. Color has improved color reproducibility. (Excluding blue-based pigments/metallic pigments, etc.) Consequently, the color tone and gloss of some paints have changed. This paint contains organic solvents. Ensure adequate ventilation during and after use. Do not mix with other model paints. ※When applied to ABS resin parts, the paint may penetrate the resin, causing the part to become brittle and potentially crack or break. Carefully check the assembly instructions and part runner markings, and avoid painting “ABS resin parts”. Please prepare tools separately.
