GSI Creos “Acrylon Color Gal Gray Gloss 10ml” is a model paint.
Acrylon is a new generation water-based emulsion paint designed to improve safety and painting environments by solving issues such as slow drying time, weak film formation, and odor from organic solvents.
・After drying, it forms a water-resistant, solvent-resistant coating.
・Achieves an ultra-low odor model paint by minimizing the use of organic solvents.
・Although a water-based paint, it dries quickly and offers high workability.
・Includes gloss paints, which were difficult to achieve with previous water-based emulsion paints.
・The dried coating film exhibits a certain degree of flexibility.
・Being low-solvent, it is less likely to corrode thin, solvent-sensitive ABS molded parts.
・Unlike solvent-based paints that dissolve and adhere to plastic resin, this paint adheres through its own adhesion strength. It can be applied without primer even to highly solvent-resistant materials like urethane resin. Can also be applied to polycarbonate. However, performance improves with proper surface preparation, including primer application, for better adhesion. • For brush application, use undiluted. If application is difficult, add 1-2 drops of water or Acrylon Retarder (recommended). Note: Over-thinning causes pigments to flow excessively, leading to uneven color on the painted surface.
・For airbrush application, use Acrylon Airbrush Thinner (revised formula). (Recommended dilution ratio: 1:0.3). When thinning with water, add it gradually and apply with the air pressure set as low as possible. Be careful not to add too much water, as it may cause the paint to be repelled from the surface. Brushes, airbrushes, and other tools used for painting can be cleaned with water before the paint dries. Once dry, the paint will not dissolve in water; use Acrylon Tool Cleaner for cleaning. *The top layer of clear coats or Acrylon may appear milky white, but it will become transparent after drying. *Can be painted over Mr. Color or enamel paints. Cannot be used over old label version water-based hobby colors or other manufacturers' water-based acrylic paints, as cracking will occur. ※ Cannot be mixed with water-based hobby colors or Mr. Color. ※ Once hardened or solidified, Acryjon cannot be re-dissolved. Additionally, if the paint or thinner becomes acidic due to high room temperature or other factors, the paint will solidify.
