Overbooking is a card game of bluffing and foresight themed around inn reservations.
Once upon a time, a certain king decided to host a grand banquet for his subjects.
Countless guests were invited from across the kingdom.
But... oh dear. In their eagerness to snag last-minute discounts, not a single guest had actually booked lodging.
Thus begins the scramble for the few remaining beds.
As a royal steward, can you secure beds for all your guests before every inn becomes overbooked?\ n
Players must carefully strategize which guests to place in the reservation queue and which to keep waiting at the back door. Guest cards are placed face-down in the queue, forcing opponents to guess which guest was played based on the size of the coat of arms on the card's back. Consider how many points your guests are worth... as this will affect your total score at the end of the game. Once all cards are placed, resolve them row by row. The special effects triggered when guests booked through the back door influence which guests can actually stay at the inn. If too many guests arrive, the inn becomes overbooked and cannot accommodate any more.
A frantic battle for scarce rooms... an easy-to-play card game where players scramble in a situation that would give veterans stomachaches.
