The Same Game is a communication-based party game where players compare “things” across various categories to find their commonalities. You'll find yourself wanting to comment on the differences in how each player thinks. In the game, you compare the relationship between two “things” using various categories (weight, material, usage time, price, etc.).
First, in Phase 1, each player links their drawn “thing” card to one category card and one ‘trap’.
Then, on their own scoreboard, they compare the category of the “thing” card and the trap, writing down one thing they have in common.
This becomes the category you don't want others to guess due to the “trap”.
In Phase 2, the active player hides the number tiles next to each category card with cups.
Only the cup next to the trap category's number tile is left face-up.
The active player reveals their “item” card and their written board.
Other players discuss and try to open as many categories as possible to avoid drawing the “trap”.
Opening a cup for a non-trap category scores points.
If your score reaches the medal area on the score track by the end of the game, you are the winner of The Same Game.
