Pit Road 1/700 Imperial Japanese Navy Akizuki-class Destroyer Ryūgatsu 1945 Plastic Model SPW87
Ryūgatsu was commissioned in December 1942 as the third ship of the Akizuki-class destroyers.
During the Battle of Cape Bouno in April 1945 as part of Operation Ten-Go, she sustained severe damage to her bow from attacks by carrier-based aircraft of the U.S. Navy's mobile task force. She managed to return to Sasebo under her own power.
She was subsequently used as an anti-aircraft battery until the end of the war.
