Product Introduction
Amusing Hobby “1/35 British Main Battle Tank Centurion Mk.5” Plastic Model Kit.
The Centurion was a first-generation main battle tank developed in Britain during the latter stages of World War II.
The name “Centurion” originates from the Roman legion's “Centurion” (centurion). Its generously designed hull allowed for continuous improvements up to the Mk.13, with multiple derivative variants also produced.
Among these, the Centurion Mk.3 was deployed in the Korean War, where its high performance led to its export to countries worldwide.
The Centurion Mk.5 is a variant based on the Centurion Mk.3 chassis, equipped with the Ordnance QF 20-pounder (84mm) gun. Its coaxial machine gun was replaced with the M1919A4 (7.62mm) to facilitate ammunition standardization among NATO nations.
